Two strands of fingering weight yarn are knitted together at the same time to create the double-stranded sock blank. Dyes are applied by hand to dye both strands of yarn. A double stranded sock blank can be used to make a pair of identical finished objects (one from each strand). A double stranded sock blank is most commonly used when knitting socks two-at-a-time, but can be used for any project that uses fingering weight yarn.
Sock Blanks are a fun way to knit or crochet projects because you can simply unravel the blank as you go. No deflating yarn ball to manage, no tangles or knots to navigate.
Every sock blank in our shop is One of a Kind!
